I joined Humphrey & Co in 2004 having completed a degree in Physics and Mathematics at Keele University. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008. I enjoy acting for a wide range of businesses from sole traders to large companies. I have an interest in legal sector clients with a particular specialism in the tax affairs of Barristers.

    Emily Smith

    I joined Humphrey & Co in 2009 after graduating from Lancaster University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012. After becoming an Associate of the firm in 2022 I was then asked to join the Partnership and became a Partner in May 2024.  I provide a wide range of business and taxation advice for both individual and corporate clients. As well as providing general practice services, I specialise in charity and audit clients and since becoming a partner I manage the specialist charities and audit teams.

      Ian Pinder FMAAT

      Senior Audit Manager

      I started my working career in forestry before joining Midland Bank. I have also worked in the printing industry, foreign exchange and for The Association of Authorised Public Accountants, a governing body for accountants.I joined Humphrey & Co in 1997 and became AAT qualified in 2002 and a fellow member in 2008. I am directly involved in the majority of audits within the firm and undertake Solicitors Accounts Rules compliance work. In my spare time, I am treasurer of a local cricket club and vice-chairman of a local motor sport club.

        Joe Jaeger MMath (Hons) ACA

        I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2016, having joined Humphrey and Co in 2013 after completing a Masters Degree in Mathematics from the University of Bath. I work closely with partners Emily Smith and Craig Manser providing audit and accounting services for corporate and charity clients.

          Ella Pickles MAAT

          Accounting Technician

          I joined Humphrey & Co in December 2021, after spending two years at another local accountancy firm. I became a qualified Accounting Technician in May 2022 and I am currently studying towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.

            I completed my AAT qualifications whilst working for a firm of chartered accountants in Lewes, and joined Humphrey & Co in 2018. Whilst working for Partner Andrew Robinson I achieved my Chartered Accountancy qualification (ACA) in September 2021.

            • Secret skill? I represented GB at two junior European championships for triathlon.

              Harry Woodrow MAAT

              Accounting Technician

              I joined Humphrey & Co in 2021 after 2 years at another local accountancy firm. In January 2023 I completed my AAT level 4 apprenticeship and qualified as an Accounting Technician. I work for partner Craig Manser assisting in compliance and taxation work for his diverse portfolio of clients. In my spare time, I like going to watch a variety of sports events, particularly football and motorsport.
